Audiozen Solido
Integrated amp with DAC & HD bluetooth
Audiozen Solido is the integrated solid state amp designed with FETs and SIC FET 3 further enhanced by a built-in DAC and HD bluetooth connectivity
An amplifier designed to fully meet the needs of the modern audiophile who demands seamless integration without compromising on absolute performance. True to its name, the “Solido” integrated amplifier is built around a dual-chassis architecture – a design philosophy that has always defined Audiozen’s finest creations.
This solid-state masterpiece features a refined FET preamplifier section paired with a power stage equipped with third-generation Silicon Carbide Mosfets (SIC FET 3), further enhanced by a built-in DAC and high-definition Bluetooth connectivity.
It is a concrete, substantial design – the hallmark of an instrument built to stand the test of time, delivering a fast, controlled, and remarkably authentic sound.
Yet, technical prowess is only part of the story. The Solido is not just another mains-powered component; it possesses a distinct character that reflects its designer’s vision of sound, born with the pure intention of evoking deep sensations – and true emotion – every time the volume is turned up from zero.
Solid state
amplifier
The Class A FET section – meticulously selected to ensure perfectly matched characteristics for both channels – flawlessly preamplifies the audio signal. Thanks to a DC-coupled design, the signal path is entirely free of input capacitors, reaching the Class AB power stage at low impedance, which is driven by third generation Silicon Carbide Mosfets (SIC FET 3).
From the RCA input jacks to the speaker binding posts, the signal encounters just a single polypropylene capacitor, strictly necessary to couple the preamp section with the power stage. This minimalist approach translates into absolute transparency of the sonic information, further enhanced by the exceptional timing and realism of the SIC FET 3.
The official specifications speak for themselves: 100 Watts per channel into 8 Ω, nearly doubling into 4 Ω. These figures leave no room for doubt regarding the Solid nature of the power supply, engineered to deliver all the current needed to capture every transient with effortless ease, at any volume.
Volume control is entrusted to a renowned motorized ALPS potentiometer, and the Solido comes equipped with an ergonomic remote control to seamlessly manage its sonic power from the comfort of your listening position.
Separate
Power Supply Unit
Far from a simple “box” providing current to the amplifier, this dedicated unit is specifically engineered to house the crucial components that allow the Solido to deliver its signature sound.
Activating the power switch awakens the smallest of the three onboard transformers, which is connected to a control board managing an industrial-grade relay to power up the entire system. This dedicated transformer also services ancillary functions, such as the loudspeaker protection circuit and the remote control board for the motorized volume potentiometer.
By isolating these tasks, the two generous toroidal transformers are left entirely dedicated to fueling the audio amplification and digital circuitry, eliminating any potential source of interference at the root. It is a solid, uncompromised engineering foundation – a true flagship feature of Audiozen design.
The Digital Core
Inside the Solido, alongside the analog amplification section, a sleek black perspex enclosure safeguards the digital circuitry: the DAC and the HD Bluetooth module
The DAC stage
It is based on the excellent SABRE ES9039Q2M, which delivers outstanding conversion performance. Before reaching the FET preamp, the audio signal is slightly preamplified and impedance – matched through a discrete component circuit.
On the Solido’s front panel, a selector switch allows you to choose between listening to what is connected to the rear USB port or to the coaxial RCA input, which is also located on the back panel.
Bluetooth audio
This Bluetooth stage features the 5.0 standard and is built around the Qualcomm QCC3034 chip, supporting the APTX HD codec for high level listening even from mobile devices.
The ‘BT’ LED on the front panel is wired directly to the circuit and turns solid green once paired with the playback device.
The amplifier’s top cover is crafted from transparent perspex, showcasing the refined details of the power stage and the elegant Digital Core. The front panels of the Solido feature a refined aluminum – and – perspex sandwich structure, complemented by robust control knobs machined from solid billet. On the rear, premium pure-copper binding posts ensure a solid, uncompromised connection to your loudspeakers, seamlessly accommodating bare wire, spade lugs, or banana plugs.
When the DAC or Bluetooth are not selected, the source switch located on the front panel completely turns off their respective circuits, leaving operational only what is strictly necessary.
As with every Audiozen creation, every single detail of the Solido is obsessively analyzed to achieve ultimate performance – and to deliver the highest form of listening pleasure.
